As per the latest report, Tony Brown died on Thursday, 20th October 2022 and at the time of his passing, he was 55 years old. The reports are stating that he passed away after losing his battle against deadly pancreatic cancer. His passing news is officially confirmed by the league which declared the cause of his death. His wife, Tina Brown also shared a statement after the ultimate demise of her husband which reads that “We are and have been sustained by the compatible outpouring of support and love through this voyage in creating peace, strength, and acceptance. We ask his fans, and friends to join us in that spirit as we prepare to commemorate the life of Tony.”

The reports further added that the late referee was 1st diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in the month of April 2021. He served a bit last season in the reply centre of the NBA, though he took entry in hospice care located in the area of Atlanta in recent days. He had officiated over 1,100 regular season games, and around twenty-five playoff matches in around seventeen seasons, as stated by National Basketball Referees Association. His death news is really heartbreaking and hard to believe. Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner stated in a released statement which reads that “Tony Brown was considered as one of the most reputed and accomplished referees in the National Basketball Association and he was a role model to his co-workers.”

He was the cool brother and one of the best at running the sidelines.
