Jim Dixon DEATH REASON
As per the sources, Dixon was in the ICU last week and he was admitted to the OU medical centre after he experienced a health emergency. Corey Cole who stepped in Friday said that Dixon was receiving calls for his well and fast recovery. Dixon spent his entire life in coaching and training and he had an expansive network in the Oklahoma High School Sports community. He almost spent his whole life in one school coaching and training students. As the reports suggest, Dixon joined the Sulphur staff after he had his graduation from Marlow High School in 1973. While interviewing the Oklahoman back in 2010, Dixon told that he felt he can’t do his duty as he was just 24 years old when he was promoted to head coach.

Even though Dixon was not ready to face his position as a head coach, he still remained in his position and gained recognition as a head coach who worked for years and guided the bulldogs to the states titles in 2002 and in 2004 as well. He was also inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of fame in 2001 and was added to the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of fame. Dixon was attached to the Sulphur and he said that even though he got an offer from other teams he rejected it just to stay with the team. Back in 2004, he suffered a minor seizure because he dealt with encephalitis and he was working with Jeff Nye as his assistant coach at that time.

Even after having a seizure and getting affected by it, Dixon continued to train as the coach of the team until 17 more seasons and he guided the bulldogs. He was in the hospital for two weeks while the team was winning against the rivals Davis. Cole said in an interview that the whole team was playing just for their coach and his respect. He added that the team was playing for the coach and that the brand of football was created by him. All of the team members sent their condolences and prayed for the coach as soon as the demise news came up and they were heartbroken by the death of their beloved coach.
